He said Freddie sounded bad AFTER viewing the bootlegs on my channel (AKA Vienna 1984). He was always backstage and couldn't hear everything perfect. Anyone can hear that Freddie sounded really bad on gigs like Vienna 1984. About the Bowl, he was referencing the common knowledge that all bands would "touch-up" live shows before an official release.

I've never met Peter Freestone, and he may be the greatest, but I'm always skeptical about people who are making their living about talking about Freddie's private life, when I know he didn't like that, and is not around to correct or deny anything they say. I didn't like his comment about Freddie's singing being terrible, and having to be corrected in studio in concerts like the bowl. the bootlegs given evidence that his voice was great. it's terribly hard to tour and sing like he did.

@Gregsynthbootlegs I re listened to the part where Peter talks about Freddie's voice, and if I didn't have your interpretation of it, I would still think that he was talking about Freddie's voice in general. It makes more sense that way though, since Freddie's voice was very good indeed. My mistake
